Hong Kong Government published the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance (Amendment of Schedules 1 and 2) Notice 2018 in Gazette

The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region gazette No. 14 Vol. 22 - Legal Supplement No. 2, Part A, Number 63 “Toys and Children's Products Safety Ordinance (Amendment of Schedules 1 and 2) Notice 2018” was newly published and was made by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development under section 37 of the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance (Cap. 424). The Notice will be effective on 1 August 2018.

Important Note to the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU

Starting from 13 June 2016, all European member states shall adopt the new Radio Equipment Directive (RED) which replaces Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive 1999/5/EC and all radio equipment imported to EU shall comply the new RED from 13 June 2017. 

One important note has to be reminded is that some items which are not included in the scope of R&TTE directive are newly added to that of RED.
